The Langham Club on Green Lanes is seeking a confident, experienced and people-focused Bar Staff member for contracted shifts across the Club. This role would involve weekend working
Responsibilities will include:
- Serving our Members and Guests alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks
- Stock rotation and organisation across our fridges and storage
- Coordination and receipt of stock deliveries
- General cleaning and tidying of bar areas
- Collection and cleaning of glasses
- General cellar management and upkeep, including rotation of heavy beer kegs
Responsibilities may additionally include, subject to experience and specific role:
- Ordering stock and supplies in line with anticipated demand
- Cashing up and reconciliation at end of day and end of week
- Coordination of visits from cleaners, tradespeople, musicians and other visitors
- Ensuring security measures such as closing and locking doors and windows and setting alarms are consistently performed
- Cleaning of beer lines, coolers, glass washers and bars, monitoring and replacement of beer gases and general bar maintenance and upkeep
- Stock rotation and product range changes as directed by Management Committee
Desirable experience includes:
- Work of a similar nature in equivalent licensed premises (e.g. pubs, bars and hospitality)
- Experience of a social club or other members club environment
- Excellent customer service, particularly when busy or under pressure
- End-to-end bar, cellar and stock management
- General management of equivalent licensed premises
This is a part-time position, including evening, weekend and Bank Holiday hours, offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Specific shifts and hours are to be determined. Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate will live in relatively close proximity to the Club (Green Lanes, North London)
Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task may not be identified here. The successful applicant will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from the Management Committee to undertake work of a similar nature that may not be specified in this job description. The successful applicant must also be willing to undertake any training relevant to the role that may be required
There will be a probation period of six months and the successful applicant will be subject to DBS and referee checks
